We were a few of the people in the area who were artistic and creative, and we decided to live together. I was lecturing and building upon my philosophies under the heading of ''The Word''. Uisiom originated out of a sit down letter-to-word association game that we played a lot.

It's a game we played as a way to increase creative thinking...

It's a game we played as a way to increase creative thinking, usually at the table during dinner time. It is played similar to the game of reading car license plates. You must try to make a sentence, statement or quote out of the letters. Like seeing a license plate reading, JRMH, you may answer with, Just Resistor My Horse. It's a sort of acronym creativity game.

So some of us were playing the game where we would write down letters on a piece of paper for the others to develop into either a sentence, statement or quote. One of the artists was drawing a picture of what she said was my inner nature. As she slid it across the table for me to view, I noticed the letters written near the drawing at first.

Then I noticed the drawing, which was of a wizard type individual smoking a pipe and wearing a stove pipe hat. I saw the lettering as part of the game I was playing with some of the other people at the table. I quickly wrote down under each letter the following: unity is seen in open minds. Then I slid it back towards her.

She looked down and replied, Jan, I think that we have just found the wording for what you are lecturing on with reference to your beliefs.
What I wrote down, was the word vision, and I was not playing the game. So out of the word vision, loosely meaning the ability to see, to have sight, she stated, that's the answer to your way of living life and your philological awareness. So it was that morning in June, when uisiom as an acronym was created, and its definition became my way of life.

Unity is seen in open minds, uisiom, a word of thought. It has had only one additional change to its meaning and lettering thru the years. That was, adding the following three letters -- nct, to the end of uisiom.

While at a lecture, which I was giving in New York at Syracuse University, a person unknown to me at the time yelled out N-C-T, not closed thoughts during a moment when I made a statement that rattled some chains in the audience.

It was then, that I decided to add NCT at the end of uisiom. So another word association was added to uisiom-nct. Unity is seen in open minds-not closed thoughts. I thought that it was a great addition to the word and its meaning.

I still have, to this day, the original art work. It's a moment that I will always remember. That day that established a working heading for my philosophies accidentally out of a creative flash of thought.
